Shoutbox in popup window??

Anybody know how I can open a shoutbox in a popup window?  Here's what I got so far:

Well.... I saw another thread where SashaE suggested to someone that they should just "Open the shoutbox in a popup window".  I though SashaE might offer a way to do that upon seeing this thread topic, but I guess, as usual, I'm on  my own.

You need that in a CSS DIV popup like the LOGIN one? or a default browser window popup? and may i ask why do you need it in popup?

Perhaps I should explain my application.  I cloned the shoutbox module so that I could use a separate instance of it on my Gamezone pages.   You can see the popup here: http://houstonlively.com/gamezone.php?page=featured

On the lower right side of the page, you'll see a tab 'BUZZ".  Clicking on that tab, pops up a div where I would like to contain the new shoutbox.  This will only appear on the gamezone pages.  I just wanted to add a shoutbox system to the game pages, and didn't want to reinvent one, or try to integrate something else, when a perfectly good solution is already built in.  Cloning the shoutbox module was a really simple thing to do, so that's the approach I took.  I wanted a simple chat system for the game pages, but it would also be useful for other custom pages. 

AndreyP has a free mod that places the simple messenger in a popup in a similar fashion, so I thought it would work nicely for my new shoutbox as well.

I mailed Andrey, and he suggested adding a new template key.  Two problems though... the shoutbox appears as the first item on the page, before anything else... not within the containing div.  Also, while it will appear on any page, it only works properly on the index page.  You can't post shouts on any other page.
