I have replaced the site avatars with some of my own in the avatar ready folder and they do appear under the site avatars on my site, but when selecting to use one of them i receive "error occured" in the place of wher the new avatar should be displayed. Does anyone know how to resolve this or what the issue may be? |
Do you use the same file name with old files ? PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first |
i don't understand what you mean? No I have removed all of the OLD site avatars in the avatar data folder & replaced w/ my own w/ their own names example, (5FDP1.jgp,5FDP2.jpg etc.) |
you need to use same file names like your old one. from there you can continue add more avatars Diddy is not greedy and has time. Dolphin is cool and its not just mine :-) |
okay ty i'll reinstall old avatars go from there and see what happens |
I just did the same thing, but I used PNG files instead of JPEGS. They work just fine as long as they're 64x64. |
Does anyone know how to allow .bmp (Bitmap) files to be uploaded as an Avatar? My signature can beat up your signature! |
anyone know the directory for the avatars? I'd like to change the default ones.. |
The default avatars are here. modules\boonex\avatar\data\ready

The default avatars have a number as their name e.g. 1.jpg , 2.jpg , 3.jpg , etc...
You need to give your new avatars these same names beginning at 1.jpg if you want to totally replace the default avatars.
If you do not want to replace the default avatars and just want to add new ones to them, then name your new avatars with numbers continuing on from the last default avatar number which is 64.jpg... so your first new avatar will be named 65.jpg and so on.
