This is the support forum for the Social Radio module.

hi can you check as Radio stations not taking any station except one where i had mp3.

Rest none of stations Iam able to add.

@iff2in - I checked your site and you had some .pls links. Pls files are playlists and cannot be used with this module. You will have to open the pls file in a text editor and copy the actual stream link.

Modified the functionality for handling radio streams.

hi RSS link is not working or not properly configured.

The mod has been updated to add pop-out playing functionality. Re-upload files, clear cache and recompile the language for the module.

That link is not coming from the module. This is a link you have personally created for one of your custom menu blocks. The correct link should be http://godesi.com/m/socialradio/top/

Actually, it should have been http://godesi.com/m/socialradio/browse/top/ . You can look in the top menu for the mod to see what the various links should be.

Since you are available so will ask. Is it possible to add functionally so to report dead radio stations or like unlike button on final add pop-out playing

i did by updating file pop_up play file at \Social Radio\modules\modzzz\socialradio\templates\base

Hi i have your social radio. I am trying to get my stream to work http://170.249.253.134:8004/stream/ which is icecast. ive tried everything to get it working 

ive tried http://170.249.253.134:8004/ and http://170.249.253.134:8004/stream/ and http://170.249.253.134:8004/stream/; and http://170.249.253.134:8004/; and 170.249.253.134:8004/stream/

I have tried to put it to yes and no settings to "is shoutcast or icecast" and still nothing. the stream works perfectly. i dont know what it is not playing for me. can you please help?

Bandwidth Question: If a member listens to the radio for hours, does this affect the server bandwidth and approximately how much? I'd love to install something like this and the Games module but I don't have a lot of bandwidth.

@johnk42 - There is no bandwidth issue since nothing is hosted and played locally.

Thank you Modzzz. Very reassuring. I agree that this would be a great way to keep members on the site. We need more things like this because the average member has rapidly gone elsewhere if there's nothing to keep them occupied.

The same play button icon referenced by the same CSS is displayed completely different on different pages. The main page is large, yet the play button on the individual station pages are minuscule, why is that? 
More importantly, how do I make them all uniform (preferably the larger size as on the main page)?

This module is updated to fix an issue with button icon mentioned above and also to add Title and Description to popup player. The following files are modified :

modules\modzzz\socialradio\classes\BxSocialRadioModule.php

modules\modzzz\socialradio\templates\base\css\view.css

modules\modzzz\socialradio\templates\base\popup_play.html

Modzzz is in beast mode

Also on the note of bandwidth...you are right that there is no bandwidth taken from the listeners side...however if you have a stream hosting company (such as myself) then you could use this module as a feature where the radio stream owner would need their account from you. In which would take bandwidth depending on time and listeners. But yes it is correct that if you go find some streams on the internet (Google shoutcast and IceCast listing) then there is essentially no bandwidth usage to your servers.

Grenre seems to be missing in Predefined Values. As I need to change and remove a few, where's the best place to do this?,

These are Categories. You manage them in the same section of the Admin Panel where you manage Categories for Groups, Events etc.

The Personals module issue is now resolved.

The Radio Station demo now has a sample station.

Just checking to see if this module still works. All but one of twenty previously operating stations have stopped working. Could this be Flash related, or is it possible my server is broken? I've checked the links and they all work on VLC and WinAmp.
