ftp server error

I can't install these modules. It says cannot connect to ftp server. But the rest installed fine.

"Installation of: Photos Failed

-- Changing permissions: Cannot connect to FTP server. Check credentials in Settings -> Advanced Settings -> General." 

And there is nothing in the general settings that explains this.

Is this happening to anyone else or is this an install error? I had to go through that entire list to set everything to writable.

This error means that folder and/or files permissions aren't correct this the module. Dolphin tries to change it automatically for you by FTP, but fails. Now to install the module change permission manually, also you can change them in bulk using this command:

 Now the ftp settings are at administration/modules.php  (bottom of page)

I'm glad Deano pointed that out to me. It would never have occurred to me to scroll all the way to the bottom of the module management page to enter ftp settings.
