I must admit that the last few months have been tough. Times when we have to work on "service" updates are always quite... testing. So many plans and exciting features and improvements planned, but we do have to focus on getting what we already have right. A couple of handy features get squeezed in every time anyway, and this update is no exception. So, drumroll, ladies and laddies... ... ... Dolphin 7.1.4 is now RELEASED!

What's New in Dolphin 7.1.4

• Automatic updates for 3rd-party modules (instructions for developers)
• Better downloading for videos and sounds
• Video upload for Mobile Apps v.1.8
• Bug-fixes

Automatic updates system is particularly important. In our administration of Market we will give extra kudos to the modules that support it. In a nutshell, Dolphin will now perform weekly checks for for available updates for the installed modules and will email you when they're available. So, you can then check, automatically download and apply them via Dolphin admin panel (provided that Vendors have to uploaded updates to Boonex.com, which they should). Ideally, we will soon have a smooth working flow of automated updates, not unlike the way we all refresh our PlantsVsZombies, Minecrafts and Fieldrunners. Oh, joy!

As some of you might have noticed we've put some new lipstick onto our... beloved website. I am personally always very exited about homepage and navigation refreshes, so bare with me and our ultra-modern floaty-stretchy nav-bar. Oh, and we've done some speed-up tweaks, so the site should feel snappier.

Had to borrow that StarTrek quote to describe the state of affairs unfolding in BoonEx right now. We hope that with this release we have made a fair-way window to work on the next major thing. You know, the thing. Meanwhile, however, we really need Vendors to keep improving their offerings (especially with the new "auto-update" and upcoming Market reviews and moderation); Web-masters to keep sharing their ideas and experiences in Forums; and everyone to keep helping each other, as we do.
