Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and take on dolphin. What I've seen and my opinion is that dolphin alpha is worthless and might consider it little teaser and a demo of what is to come. Traditionally dolphin beta's are more like other software's alpha's. Many bugs and a lot of things don't work.

To me beta testing most software most things work with a few minor issues or bugs. An alpha generally most things work but a bit more bugs and is considered non-production.

Dolphin stable see more in the first round or two, I really refer to it as beta even though they call it stable at that point. Somethings start to work but plenty of bugs yet. It is usually not until round 3-5 of a official dolphin stable release that it really starts to take shape and work the way it should.

In my view this new dolphin beta would be labeled alpha by most other software makers. This is just my opinion. Test it out and see for your self though.

I wouldn't consider this remotely stable for a number of releases yet, nor would I use it on a live or production site. A test environment is what it should be used for and considered for some time yet.

I have no idea what the progress is on dolphin 7 stable, but I would expect a decent stable version is many months out yet, unless things change considerably from what I am used to seeing.

Fun to play with and test though, which is all it should really be used for right now!

I continue to use d6.1.4, I wouldn't call it perfect, there are a few minor glitches, but I think as of right now it is the most stable version.
