Progress can be painful...with any luck the pain will turn into joy. You are 100% correct in taking back control to improve everyones experience.

I am new to the community and love the apps. If the feature I’m about to propose is included in BoonEx offerings I just haven’t found it yet. I am also aware of the universal objections to any sort of censorship and strongly agree that the freedom to express ideas and opinions is a universal right.

I freely admit that I use any number of swear see more words...but usually in private not public or written communication. I also believe that sometimes there is a reason to use them for their shock value to get attention but even those are few and far between. At the same time my choice of words and beliefs NEVER includes gender, racial, religious or ethnic slurs nor tolerates any kind of hate mongering.

What I am getting to is some sort of “profanity filter” as an optional module with the ability to add words and turn it on or off at an admin level. Let the owner of a site decide what they feel is appropriate for their community and that includes BoonEx.

I do understand the dilemma with all sorts of people figuring out ways around these types of filters and the work it takes to try and moderate user input. I believe it’s going to become an issue if these apps are going to become the #1 cms on the planet and that is possible...I’d like to see it probable.

So you can make the decision to do it or poll the community or both.

What the Hell, you can even ignore it. (what the F*** would have had more drama)

Keep up the great work!!!

Such "Bad Words Filter" mod already exists for the current version of Dolphin and the integration of such function is already planned for Dolphin 6.1 ;-)

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
