This localization module allows your site members to easily identify other members that are within close proximity to them. It also give member the ability to filter out those members that are close but do not meet their preference.
The module has the ability for members to hide themselves from showing up in local listings.
MEMBER PREFERENCE
A Preference block is located on the Profile Edit page.
Each member can configure the specific set of members that will show up in their Localization circle.
The parameters that can be defined are :
→ Age Range
→ Gender
→ Metric (Miles or KM)
→ Distance
ADMINISTRATION SETTINGS
Admin can configure the default Metric which is used if no preference is set by the member.
Admin can configure the maximum search distance which is used if no preference is set by the member.
PAGE BLOCKS
Account and Profile blocks displays all members within specified distance from the Profile Owner.
GLOBAL TOP DISPLAY
The mod also has the option to display a local members block at the top section of the site (just below the Top Menu). This is shown on every page visited. This block displays profiles within specified proximity of the logged in member. Administrator can turn on/off this block.
ACCESS RESTRICTION
Membership level filtering is included so Administrator can decide which membership levels will have the ability to use Localization feature.
NOTES
This mod has some dependencies on the zip search module that is shipped with Dolphin so that module must be installed on the site.
