Site Donations

This mod allows site Administrators to create donation campaigns so members could contribute to a cause. Contributions are done through Paypal. The Administrator may opt to offer rewards to persons who have contributed a certain amount or more. Multiple reward thresholds may be specified ($10 or more, $50 or more etc).

Ability to create Donation Campaigns stating :

a) the target amount
b) target date for achieving the amount
c) the purpose of the Campaign.

GENERAL FUNCTIONALITY

Contributors can opt to remain anonymous and not shown in the Donors list. This is an important option as some persons would rather to contribute privately.

Non-members can easily Donate without needing to create an Account on the site.

Progress is given for each campaign (desired target, amount received to date etc). The progress is represented in terms of percentage and also in the form of a progress bar.

Each campaign will list the persons who have contributed and the amount of contribution.

A campaign is marked as fulfilled after the target amount is reached.


MANAGEMENT OF DONATIONS

Administrator can view the periodic earnings (monthly etc.)

Administrator can export the Donation Earnings to a spreadsheet.

NOTIFICATIONS

Thank you letter sent to Donor after they make Donation.

Notification letter sent to Campaign owner after they receive Donation.

Notification letter sent to Campaign owner when the Campaign has been fulfilled.

Notification letter sent to all persons who contributed to a Campaign, notifying them that the Campaign has been fulfilled.


MEDIA GALLERY

Ability to upload Videos, Photos and Files with donation requests. This is useful if the Administrator wants to provide visual evidence of why the donation to the site is needed.

Ability to upload sound, in case Admin wants to make a verbal request.

Video embedding feature - so if there is a Youtube Video already requesting help, it can be included.

Social Sharing functionality that allows the sharing of a campaign on social sites such as digg, facebook, twitter etc.

Ability to Subscribe to Donations Campaigns and get updates when there are changes to the request.
