Date of Birth field broken for Chrome v24 in 7.0.9 - part 2

Anyone?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any tips on this?  A potential member emailed me and said they couldn't sign up because of the birthdate, so I tested and realized it was Google Chrome.  I have Dolphin 7.09 and have the calendar issue.

I did what I thought worked for Deano, but I must not have done something right.

I copied and pasted this to the bottom of templates/base/css/forms_adv.css

::-webkit-calendar-picker-indicator {

    display: none;

}

I uploaded the webForms.js file that Dean provided in this thread to

/templates/base/css

Cleaned out my browser cache from the beginning of all time and still can't get it to work.  I even tried viewing it on another computer.  I must be missing something because I viewed Deano's site and it did work there.  Any ideas as to what I missed?  I attached the two files, hopefully someone can spot what I did wrong!

Browser cache alone is not good enough. Dolphin cache must be cleared because you made a CSS file change.

Oh, thank you very much for the quick reply.  How do I do that? Is it a setting in the administrator panel somewhere?  Thanks!

Yes. Tools -> Cache.

Then click ALL

Thank you Deano,

You are the man!  I couldn't find the option to clear the cache on my 7.09 where you mentioned to look, but found in another post that I could do the following:

I removed the caching options all together by navigating to Admin Panel>Settings>Advanced Settings>Template

Remove the check marks from the following....

Enable cache for HTML files:

Enable cache for images:

Enable cache for CSS files:

Enable cache for JS files:

Then it immediately started to work.  However I assume the cache helps performance, and as soon as I'd turn it back on the problem would begin again.  So, I instead deleted the cache files via FTP and then reenabled the checkmarks and now everything works great!

- Login to your site via FTP

- Delete all files within the /cache directory (except for the .htaccess file)

- Delete all files within the /cache_public directory

Thanks again for the quick response Deano, I'm up and running and really appreciate the quick help!

Oh. In dolphin 7.0.x the cache cleaning is right on the admin dashboard. The page that first appears when you go to the admin panel. It's right there.

Oh, I see it now... thanks I'll keep that in mind if I need to do this in the future.  That's much easier than the way I did it!  Thanks again....

After the last update to Firefox 19 the date field is broken again. There is no datepicker showing up. Anybody can confirm?
