HostForWeb, Enough is Enough!

I have tried being patient. I have tried being reasonable but now I'm pissed!

I have a parking enforcement company. I use HFW's VPS services to support my company in regards to online website that provides form access for the residents and the management of many different complexes and management companies with which to update their parking permit databases.

The ENTIRE EMAIL SYSTEM IS BROKEN and I cannot find a solution nor can they!

What did they do? They COMPLETELY CIRCUMVENTED THE SECURITY OF THE VPS I PAY FOR BY ALLOWING AN OUTSIDE ENTITY TO PERFORM A MAJOR SOFTWARE UPGRADE WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION. THE RESULTING SYSTEM WIDE FAILURE HAS BROUGHT MY ENTIRE ONLINE FORM ACCESS AND THE REQUIRED EMAIL RELAY SYSTEM TO IT'S KNEES!

I am getting the following error. Maybe someone here has the knowledge to understand just what it means and help me fix it.The obvious steps have already been tried. Obviously, I have changed the email addresses. I cannot find any definitive information on just what a 'Gid 510' error is.

As soon as I get this problem resolved, I am starting the very laborious task of moving all my websites, and more than 30 domain names held by them for me to another service. I would be very appreciative if some of you have any suggestions.

If you use cpanel

Uncheck in whm --> Tweak Settings, "Track the origin of messages sent though the mail server by adding the X-Source headers (exim 4.34+ required)"

Gid 510

Gid 510 is not permitted to relay mai

My guess is simple. On linux all accounts have a user ID and a Group ID. I am guessing that your account group is is 510 and the error meens that your group id is not allowed to send mail.

It's a mail server issue.

I know you may not want to do this as it would require you learn how to run a Linux server, but this is how i buy servers. I specifically request a server that has a clean default minimal install of CentOS. Setup one user account for ssh access and give me the server IP, and account passwords for the user and root account and i take it from there.

This way i set it up the way i want it, with only the software i want and i change all the passwords so they cannot get in. No cpanal, no nothing except what i want.

That way i am in full control of the server and the only time i need support is if the server crashes and i need someone to kick the reset button.
