Join Group - auto subscribe / fan

Just wandering if anyone has done this already - when someone joins a group, they are auto added as a subscriber and as a fan...

Seems overly complicated for users to first have to join a group, then have to become a fan for other permissions, then again, become a subscriber to get updates.

Having option to do all 3 in 1 would be far better?

When a member joins a Group, they are a fan. Joining and becoming a fan are the same thing.

 strange is still shows the option to become a fan after joining then!

What about subscribing? Is there a way to get auto subscription upon joining that you know of?

i did this a while back - i will have to find my notes and i will post once i have.

I am puzzled. The Groups only have a "Join" button. There is no separate button to become a fan. The "Join" button is what is used to become a fan. Where are you seeing this other option ? Can you attach a screenshot ?

Once joining a group, my need is to auto subscribe upon joining.
