Text and HTML Blocks limited to small

How does one go about increasing the size of the HTML and Test blocks?

I can only enter text up to a certain point and anything past that point does not show up.

It just gets cut off.

Yes I am entering a ton of text, but it needs to be that way.

I've created HTML and Text blocks of quite significant size. The problem wasn't the amount of text the block would hold, but an issue with it overflowing or being truncated on the right hand margin. This is a CSS issue which Boonex may have missed, or left it that way for a reason.

There's a text box on the home page of this site which could easily hold twice as much text. There's probably a limit, but I've never reached it.

If it's an overflow problem, let me know and I'll track down the CSS code.

Thanks for the info.

Can you tell me which of the choices on this site are what I need?

There are many things there and there does not seem to be one clearly labeled.

I am actually pretty sure there is nothing there that will help me with my issue.

@incenseman

How many characters do You want to add in this HTML Block?

After how many characters they are cut off?

I just did another test on a clean site and everything worked fine. The text wrapped okay. If you respond with answers to the questions we can move on from there.

Regards

Text wrap is not the problem at all.

It is the actual amount of text the Text and HTML blocks will allow.

The text does not go outside the box at all so that is not an issue.

It just gets cut off.

I am trying to enter the books of the bible.

I have not counted the characters that get cut off as that would very time consuming and tedious.

I am not sure why there would be a limit.

Is there a way to get uncapped Text and HTML blocks.

There will be a limit. My guess would be no more than 64,000 characters which was once the limit of Notepad, but it could be much less.

You may consider Modzzz Bible which has a built in search engine as well. It's $25 and possibly a lot less headaches for you:

I got the module and have posted to the support forum for it that it does not show up in the "NOT INSTALLED MODULES".

I cleared the browser cache, history and cookies.

I did inform them that I am using "DOLPHIN 7.3.5"

Waiting on a reply from them.

Thanks for the lead.

Will see how it works out.

I hope that I don't have to ask for my money back.

That would really stink.

You may have purchased the module, have you downloaded the module from the store and uploaded it to your site?

It would be very unusual for Modzzz not to offer a solution to a problem.

Just sent him my ftp info.

I am sure that he will undo the wrong I must have done.

He was pretty quick in getting back to me.

Modzz has a special forum for this:

http://www.boonex.com/forums/#topic/Online-Bible-Mod-Support-Modzzz-.htm

It's possible you uploaded the entire file package and not just the module. The file package is zipped and once uncompressed you will find several folders similar to this:

Files

Modules

Readme.txt

Readme_Languages.

 In the modules folder you will find more folders:

Modzzz

Boonex (Sometimes)

They're the folders you should upload to /modules/

In the Modules Directory you should now have

Boonex
Modzzz

Inside your Modzzz Diectory you will see the folder Bible (or whatever it's called)

The Modzzz Folder contains the module and once on your server, this is the place to add other Modzzz modules.

The Boonex folder if there is one, contains other files and you must read Modzzz readme to see what to do with them.

Now go to /admin/modules/Add & Manage and look for the blue Bible module in Uninstalled Modules.

Johnk42,

Thanks for the detailed instructions.

Unfortunately there is no txt called readme that explains what to do with the boonex files.

The only readme.txt talks about an upgrade of some sort and that is in a folder called upgrade.

I did get a reply from the creator of the module.

Working with them.

Thanks again.

Have blessed day.

Modzzz is in the States and should be on board by now unless he's off to work. You should always work on a practice site especially if you have to alter files.

There are usually two readme's. One for the module and one for languages. They have always been in the same place regardless of the module you purchase and that's in the first folder as shown above. If there are boonex files, they usually overwrite existing files. Make sure you make copies of each one just in case.

There is only one readme.txt in the entire package.

It reads as follows:

/*************************Product info**************************************

*

*                          Bible Mod

*                          ------------------------

* IMPORTANT: This is a commercial product made by Modzzz and cannot be modified for other than personal use.
