UPGRADE TO 7.1 ERRORS ON CLEAN 7.0.9 INSTALL

My test of the upgrade to 7.1

Clean install  of 7.0.9.

Download and follow instructions for 7.1 upgrade

Everything appears fine - cannot login due to cache error.

Clean out cache and public_cache (except .htaccess files)

Screenshot shows cannot get past admin login.....none of the links work...

Anyone?

Thanks to AlexT - fixed the issues in a less than a minute.  I appreciate the fast response and the personal email too alerting me to the forum post update.

Wish list: Hopefully, next BETA update will fix this issue so the layperson can install without further config fixes.

Screenshot of admin and steps to fix this particular issue, hope it helps if you experience the same issue.

Cheers

Mark

I have spent a few hrs working on the test of the patch upgrade from 7.0.9 to osho and also installing osho on a separate install as well.

The osho direct straight install went fine after I uploaded the .htaccess file a second time.

The patch upgrade showed up fine after i followed AlexT's instructions but certain modules failed, namely;

Blog version 1.1.0 by Boonex
Forum version 1.1.0 by Boonex
HTML5 Audio/Video Player version 1.1.0 by BoonEx
Russian Language version 1.1.0 by BoonEx
Spy version 1.1.0 by Boonex
Timeline version 1.1.0 by Boonex
World Map version 1.1.0 by BoonEx

Stating they were the wrong version, so of course I head over to inc/header_inc.php and change to the current version and all is good.

However, even after clearing cache, I am getting lots of 404 pages when trying to click on blogs, forums, articles etc..not just those listed above, but a whole lot more.

Checked .htacess and that's fine too.

Why are a lot of modules redirecting to 404 after this patch upgrade?

Cheers.

It maybe that the old .htaccess file was modified for your hosting (particularly DirectoryRoot statement), new files overwrote old change and site stops working. Try to implement changes from old .htaccess file in new .htaccess file. Please note, this is just my assumption.

Why are a lot of modules redirecting to 404 after this patch upgrade?

Will do.

I also did a clean dolphin 7.1 install which is fine but I have a question.  Page builders - blocks - blocks can no longer can be dragged?

As a result, when you toggle editor and open it again, it moves down the page and on smaller screens you cannot see the save button.

1. Please try to reproduce it on demo.boonex.com (http://www.boonex.com/demo)

2. What is your screen size ? We will try to check on this resolution too.

1. Don't have access on demo.boonex.com as an admin to go into page builder blocks?
