Why am I getting _bx_ when I install mod

Its only happening to a few of my modules but when I install my polls, sounds, files, store, payment, and wall when I go to my website everything works fine but the tabs all have _bx_ before the title. All the tabs like _bx_polls_home, _bx_polls_search, _bx_pollsadd,_bx_etc. every single option on the page. It has nothing to do with changing the Lang key in the building block page. Because even the little tabs that I can't modify show the _bx_.

I tried to recompile and I get a error message. ---> English: An error occured. Contact with module's vendor

So what do i do now? How can i fix this?

Verify the permissions of the langs folder in the root of your site is still writable. Mode 777. Also any files in that folders should also be writable. Mode 777.

If for any reason the permissions on that folder or the files within it becomes un-writable than the modules cannot install the language keys which would explain the _bx issues and the error when compiling the language.

Deano, thanks for your suggestion... The language directory was set to 777 and it still didn't work.

Depending on your server configuration, you may need to set them to 755.

I am having the same issue, the _bx module names are in the menus and when you click on them they say the page doesnt exist.  I have the language folder and file set at 777 currently.

I have tried reimporting the language file, and then uninstalling and reinstalling just a single module (tried a few) and same results.

I have tried to add a key in the language settings and the screen never says the key was actually added, it just seems to not 'take'

This is happening to nearly all the modules I have tried to install.

Any feedback is appreciated.
