inc permissions

I have a problem, i have this message in my installation "

The permissions must be 555 it's right? but when i change to 555 the come automatiquely to 755. Why?

Help me please, and sorry for my english.

Sometimes it takes more than 15 minutes for someone that knows the answer to respond.

Anyhow, 555 would be wrong anyway. If you did that, even you via FTP would not be able to write to it.

If it's changing automatically, then your host is most likely running some software like SUPHP or something.

But 755 is not world writable, so should be acceptable. Even the dolphin instructions here. http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DetailedInstall tell you to use 755 on permission reversal.

755, 744 and 644 should all be acceptable while still allowing the owner to write. But it should be 755.

Then the script is just not reading it correctly. If your sure it's 755 then just skip it.

You can just click the skip button in this case. As for 555, that is only for CGI servers.

Yea, keep forgetting this 555 stuff for CGI. Mine does not run that way. Mine is normal unix what you set is what you get permissions.
