instant messenger -problem with links in it

I am using instant messenger and i click the link for 'Music' or 'Video' for the member I am chatting with. It does not open it in a new window or tab on the browser. Instead it opens the other member's music or videos page in the same instant messenger window, with no browser navigation to go back (except right click). So it takes me away from the chat session.

Shouldn't they open in a different window or tab like the 'Profile' and 'Send File' links do?

Is this a known issue or just one that I am experiencing? Couldn't find it by searching.

Thanks for help..

I'm having same problem here. Seems like a variable filled by the system does not get well formed.

In fact you can get rid of those links by editing this file :

flash/modules/im/xml/config.xml

and erasing the line that read 'usermusic' and 'user video'

or just copy and paste the following into your config.xml file, it just had those lines removed.

<items>

11

true

550

550

true

5

100

#filesUrl#

#soundsUrl#

#smilesetsUrl#

#useServer#

#serverUrl#

true

#fileMaxSize#

10

</items>

Well it was not really a fix.

A real fix means a new version of the flash application that opens the links in a new frame window. Or a FLASH replacement for that application.
