Final Roadmap for Dolphin 7
As promised, we've updated the roadmap today. Some of your suggestions have been added to the 7.0 and some to 7.1 milestone and now, we're "freezing" the features list.
What this means is that we won't be adding or changing anything big, except for what's listed in the ticket list and unless there're compelling reasons to do so.
We will be fixing bugs, improving performance and tweaking modules here and there to make sure they're easy to use, work perfectly and are easy to understand.
Admin part of the script will be mostly "adapted" to control existing features, so we're not adding tickets on it so far. Will do so a little later, however.
So, here's the final list. You can track development progress by noting tickets getting closed. Next alpha update is planned for Tuesday.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
This stops the banned user from coming back with a different name and email and continue their unsociable act.
Please give it a thought.

if it happens to go offline for a minute nothing works anymore, then i need to re-register every single plugin.. this is so wrong.. i think the callbacks should only be present in administration panel.. is not right to callback every page loaded by users.. i don't want to imagine the bandwidth needed just for this..

No details about how Privacy Settings will be done and which options will be chosen...
I don't like to be negative but that smell the "script with a great potential"... I hope that I'm wrong...
Your right though....no details. We will just have to wait and see on that one.
Now with D7 alpha (I know... not yet finished), all kinds of photos, profile - shared - event - etc..., all are mixed and displayed as shared :-( Same with videos...

That is very nice is that Dolphin will have built-in Store and shopping cart :-))
Contact Importer, improved Matchmaking and Cupids mail, HTML Notifications/Letters, HTML in Mass Mailer are also very good things :-))
The main problem is that they are programmers with a deep and wide knowledge... They don't know (or forgot) about the difficulty to use a Dolphin site for a simple basic Internet user...
Most of Dolphin site potential users will not spend at least one hour to learn about how to use it... Navigation, see more
so the admin.. if you are a real admin of your website... should be able to see more
that is the one thing that will never be an option, it just breaks all the privacy rules and adds security issues as well as legal issues.
But maybe be ready for some frustration... Until now I ever seen 99% good things builded on a 1% wrong choice that kiil most of the pleasure... :-)) I call that BoonEx Syndrome :-))
thank you for update .. I saw the feature list .. it's great But what about mobile version and profile styles or customize ..
and I wish invite contacts are as like facebooke and Hi5.. I mean
when I import my contacts list check if my friends regesitered in this site if it's Ok .. I can added to friend list directly then go to other contacts that not regesiter in the site for invite them to the site .. I wish my idea is clear :)

can see this being areally good feature, expertzzz can design various visualisers and sell them say in packs of 5 or 10, makes music more interesting :-)
SMS payment is one of the most popular payment methods nowadays, it really sucks that you are postponing this.
I have a bad feeling about this ... and I think many others as well.
In my opinion you're going to give the 6.1 for free and the 7 will cost a lot of money.

p.s. What will that "store" feature be? Does that mean that just admin can start a store? - or are you saying all our members see more

It was announced in the first post when the first preview of Dolphin 7a was shown to the public.
That would've been a great feature...
