i would make that attempt through mod_rewrite that might work out for you. if you need more help with that, let me know i will look it up and help ya as best i can.
Agrees totally with, technoman, who as usual always has a great idea! It would be so much easier to change it from the Admin page than having everyone going into the script itself to change the word. Might be useful to have that spot also useful for changing other minor, but commonly changed, parts of the script. ;-)
