BUT

can you also explain HOW to get ("regenerate") the licenses (Smartpro) to work again for all the Ray ad-free widgets (that is when you have your own rms)

Now - when I want to regenerate it tells me I have to pay $99 per widget and I already paid for them with Smartpro.

I have asked this in 2 other blogs - this is the 3rd time and NEVER had an answer on that.

No need to regenerate license for SmartPro (or AdFree) package - new products must work with old licenses.

If you have problems with then plz provide me via this mail FTP, CPanel (SSH info) and your SP license, we'll investigate it.

Agrees totally with, technoman, who as usual always has a great idea! It would be so much easier to change it from the Admin page than having everyone going into the script itself to change the word. Might be useful to have that spot also useful for changing other minor, but commonly changed, parts of the script. ;-)

I am a little disappointed at your support.

I have been sending emails on an almost a daily basis since April 20 to support@boonex.com and quotes@boonex.com asking for support and nobody is responding, even though on this same blog I was told to send email to support.

Artur, who was helping me, is not responding either.

I purchased the SmartPro pack and also paid around $800 extra to import my users into Dolphin .. so I am not a freebie (not that there is anything wrong with that either).

I am using Dolphin 6.1 which in every other way is excellent, now if I can just get Ray working..

everything is registered and is communicating with the servers and the required ports are 'open'

Problem was fixed, check it up please. Reason - some servers suggest .htaccess file not as hidden and try to work with it instead swf skin files. So you can change next string in ray/global/inc/functions.inc.php file from this:

$aWrongExtensions = array("php", "asp", "php5");

to

$aWrongExtensions = array("php", "asp", "php5", "htaccess", "");

In your case it helped.

I have also been sending support emails. We had a demo with our Board Of Directors before we requested them to buy us the package but we did not show much of a demo as they were keen on the video bit. The video (widget not registered) appeared and we looked a bit silly for not having sorted that out. Nobody was on skype and now the directors are wondering why we should even think about the product when support isn't there. We are willing to pay for support and have a telephone number to call see more

I miss the possability to change membership on members profile edit as admin. Where it is?

And when a user delete his account and he has profilecomments an database error appears. It says there is no table profilescomments. I have install the old pcomments table from 6.x now it is fixed for me and works. Perhaps you should fix this for the update too.

I have done a fresh install of Dolphin 6.1 on a new server. How can I transfer my members (from 6.000.5)?

I would have done a 6.000.5 update to 6.1, but updating always seems to maintain any previous problems. Best to start afresh!

It seems like some database tables was renamed in 6.1... As far as I can see, some media files too...
I think that the easiest way is to use the updrade package which will be soon released...

i had to install a free version of presents, because if not (support said) - the purchased lic. of ray desktop don't works. no problem to display add's of boonex, but i want to decide when and where.

Hello.

Do you mean that to make the Ray Desktop link accessible by your members you need to enable Web Presence?

If so, you can make it available even without referring to Web Presence.

The link usually looks like this:
http://yoursite_url/ray/modules/global/app/Agent_v3.5.0000.exe

You can create a Navigation Menu item and specify the link there.

I've upgraded to 6.1. Difficulties cased me to install on another server/domain. I get the same problems on my new build. When I attempt to upload video, a not registered message displays before the upload form presents. I assume this is due to my dolphin or ray licenses are not confirmed. Under the domain column on the license portal, my dolphin ad-free domain is incorrect. And I am unable to register any free ray licenses. I get incorrect license message. Question:

I noticed that in the Admin section All Members show up as Standard no matter what Level they have purchased. The Admin cannot edit this as before. On the User side it does show the proper Level and seems to allow access to paid areas.

Is there a patch for this or an update scheduled?

Hopefully this new fix will also take care of the other Boonex links all over the site like "Hidden Mickeys"...I see that little circle with a triangle in it all over...like the Shoutbox, the Video Player and even the Audio Player all on top left. The worst part is the huge "Tool-Tip" that pops-up saying to visit Boonex HomePage when you mouse-over. The Chat Box and Profile Player also have it, as wel as the top left of the Whiteboard and there are even links to Boonex hidden see more

I having problems with the classifieds search results in Dolphin 6.1. The link that it returns in the search results box is faulty. (e.g. http://(domainname)/(dolphin)//(dolphin)/classifieds.php?ShowAdvertisementID=1). Two extra slashes and dolphins subdirectory name are being added in to the URL string so that it returns a 404 error due to it pointing to the wrong location for the classifieds.php page.
The correct string should be like this (e.g. http://(domainname)/(dolphin)/classifieds.php?ShowAdvertisementID=1).

If it's telling you that you don't have a valid key... then you're using the wrong version of ray... meaning, there is a difference between Ad-Free, and regular. Ad-Free will not accept regular licenses, and vice versa.

I have a paid version Dolphin 6.1, and of Ray 3.5 Ad-Free, and I understand that there will be an update soon with regard to some mistakes made regarding branding, but I did not see the following issues mentioned.

1.) Why is there a link to BOONEX when a user clicks help?

2.) Why is there a BOONEX logo on the bottom when a user clicks help?

Are you using the ad-free version of Ray? That's the only thing that comes to mind at this point. If you're using the free version of the software (with ads) then the free licenses should work. I tried this some time last week. You don't need to re-install the ray, simply download and replace the Ray Suite files with the free version.

I see you found the user.xml file in the ray/modules/chat/help folder but I am afraid the other stuff we are pointing out is hard-coded in the SWF files

Yes... I removed "About" in the xml file, but haven't found a way to remove the other branding that is all over the place like you mentioned.

I don't understand what I paid for... I thought paid version was not supposed to have links or branding... I hope this gets fixed... if not, feel like I deserve a refund.

Don't worry...the Boonex people are very friendly and helpful and from what I see, this is something brand new for 6.1. I'm sure they will have it fixed shortly or they will be happy to refund you if needed BUT, I'm sure you are like me and would rather just have it working like it is supposed to :)

1. We're waiting for the patch that should be released today (Monday). Apparently if you paid for an ad-free version of the software, there should not be any backlinks to boonex.com.

2 - The only Orca link that should be visible is on the forum/Orca page. I think you'll be able to remove Orca from the nav bar, so your members won't be able to find the Orca link. I don't know how much encoding there is though, I also didn't pay for the Orca software and have no intention of using it so I don't see more

Where is the resolution? I purchased ray widget license and dolphin license but I have all three logos on all pages. I want to disable Orca but don't see the option, other than just ditching the menu bar. (But someone that knows dolphin format could edit the URL and use it---it should be able to be disabled.)

This is very frustrating. I paid for something I didn't receive. I paid for ad free and I get ads anyways.

When is the fix coming out? You posted the apology over 57 days ago. Thanks for the apology.... I understand you guys are doing the best you can, but for you paying customers, you should help remove the ad links. That is what we paid for.

To remove the cirle with the triangle and other branding like that (after you pay for your ad free license) just search your website for all the .gif, .jpg, and .png files and then edit them in your favorite editor. I used dreamweaver to pull a local copy of my dolphin site after it was installed. Then I did a search for all the images and there were tons of them you could modify. If you keep the images the same size and just modify them (say put in your own icon or just make it a while square so see more

Go to admin panel, languages, and search for Powered by. You'll get a number of hits... edit them all and just delete all the text. Then reload your page and WAM! No footer!
