Orca Error

Hi

I have just finished installing Dolphin when I click on the forum from the front and back end I get this:

Make sure XML and XSLT is compiled in PHP for ORCA. Ask you host about this

I asked my host and these are pre installed on my account, is there anything else that could be causing this problem?

It could be that somewere in the php dir is a file with wrong permission setting... look at that... XSLT is installed at your place.

My hosting provider say:

Has this script ever worked? It looks like a file is missing either an <? or it is not being parsed correctly. XML and XSLT are both installed in php.

is there anyone who knows which file may have the wrong permission in php?

I had the same problem as you, but I don't know whitch file it is. My technical provider has done something with a permission into the php dir, and from that time its working perfect.

ok bro, i am done with my comparison, and it looks like you already had the answer in here. i have created a slideshow that is an exe, no bugs i can assure you, just a method of getting this to you so you can see the comparison, as well as send it to your hosting company. they are very incorrect, xslt is not installed with this build also, the xml that is there, appears to be slightly outdated. but you have no xslt at all on this server, according to your phpinfo which you sent me the link to.

so here is the slideshow comparison of the your server and mine, and hopefully this was clear enough that you are able to make heads or tails of it.

i know this is pretty close to double posting, but after reading the slideshow again, i wanted to clarify what exactly is missing from your php build.

it is the XSL which includes:

XSL

libxslt

libsxlt compiled against libxml version

EXSLT

libexslt verion

as you can see from the slideshow if you view it, that you are missing this completely and if you get php recompiled with xsl then you are most likely goin to see orca start working. also i would look at the xml difference, as my version is EXPAT_1.95.7 and this may be a player as well.

also, if they are going to recompile, look at your SimpleXML build, the version is a tick outdated, get it updated. i think you should be good to go beyond that.

Well it seems like it is fixed for him... i went to his site and the forums look fine to me as they should with out any of that code he posted...

yeah havent seen him come back to say that it wasnt working. gotta love helping in here, cuz just as much as these users claim they are left hanging, they also leave us hanging when we have used valuable time to compile videos and slideshows to try to help them get their issue resolved.

Got a slightly similar issue...instead of the error messages, it hangs at "LOADING POST TOPIC". I compared phpinfo with what you provided above and found mine to be fairly consistent. The only variations are in the versions of LIBXML (mine is 2.6.16) and XML > libxml2 (also 2.6.16).

Any thoughts on where I might look for a possible solution?

Strangely, doing this reinstall fixed one of my other problems. The problem was I couldn't save an edited HTML_BLOCK from a newly created page on admin > pages builder. It seems the tinyMCE loaded by the Orca install did the trick.
