Shoutbox problem with IE9

Several people testing out my site updated to 7.1 have alerted me that they can't post in the shoutbox with Internet Explorer. I tried and confirmed this. You can type your message in the form but when you hit return, nothing happens, the text doesn't post to the shoutbox. Any ideas?

I had the same complaints. I dumped the cache and told them to do the same and the problem cleared up

my demo site looks horrible in IE9 especially with that huge red banner.

try posting to my shoutbox takes you to the join form using IE9

Red banner - this banner appears when site is opened in IE7 and lower IE browsers versions, or when IE9/8 is running in compatibility mode with old versions.

Yes, however you can watch this ticket for the fix, and apply it before the update, if you know how to do it.
