Standard Member - Can it be renamed?

Hi everyone.

As per a previous post I was having difficulties with my membership levels not working at all.  However, after a clean install this appears to have been resolved.

What I'm now looking to do is have 2 types of accounts set up.

Free Member (a free account with limits on photo uploads, messaging etc)

Full Member (a paid account with much less restrictions)

I'd like to be able to rename the Standard member account that's built in and use it for the Free membership.  Can this be done?

Why not just create a new membership, name it anything you wish and enable all the permissions you wish it to have? To make it free, just don't assign a cost

That's what I tried.  But when I logged into a "free" account and went to Upgrade membership, the "Standard" account was there too.  I've tried a few things and there is always the Standard membership available.

I'm probably missing something - I certainly have been missing quite a lot since I started tinkering with Dolphin a couple of weeks ago.

No. The 3 built in membership levels. Non-Member(Guest), Promotional and Standard cannot be renamed or disabled with the exception of the promotional.

The standard is the default dolphin level used when the promotional one is shut off. Which you can setup as the free one. and create a new one that people upgrade to. Your paid level.

Yeah Deano, that's what I'm going to do.

It really doesn't make a difference but I just wondered :)

Thanks folks :)

Maybe it's just my communication skills but isn't that what I just said?

I know, it happens to me too from time to time.

well its a pain in the ARSE, but i think you can rename it,  you have to then search all the files, i think there are ~9 files where the default membership 'standard' is located. when 7.0.0 was first released that was one of the first things i tinkered with, was getting rid of those default membership levels.
