Upgraded to 7.01 lost chat

Okay I upgraded from D7.0 to D7.01 And all went good, except I seem to have lost my connection for chat room, and for my board. I can use videos and other flash apps, and can access chat with rms turned off. Any ideas?

I lost the Chat and I can't even go to my Flash apps control panel. Nothing happens when I click. Is anyone having the same problem...

Where is all the help we have been told we would get if we post in here? I am still waiting for help. Man i should have NEVER tried to upgrade..ughhhh Well thanks for the help....pfffftttt.

very easy... you need your IP of your RMS inserted into the admin panel.. do you remember what it was?

Sounds to me like you need to restart your RMS.

My rms is set in admin, I also am with Terabyte for my rms. My video section works and so does my sounds so if the rms was not hooked up, wouldn't they not work?

i just checked mr terabytes rms server and it seems to be running just fine.

your server run on 755 or 777 perms ?

Did you try to load the chat from admin flash apps ?

Did you try to turn off rms in admin and then load chat ?

Did you clear cache, cache_public, and tmp folders ?

Did you recompile all the modules in admin ?

Forgot to add if your server runs on 777 perms you need to check perms on ffmpeg.exe set it to 777 or 755 if you server runs on 755.

Also if your site runs on 777  did you change the file perms like it told you to do at the bottom of the uprade page for the xml files ?

I also did as upgrade asked and changed permissions to chat/im/videos/video and video_comments xml/config.xml files to 666

Then change them files back to 644 and see what happens.

Did that also, was first thing I did, but still the same.

Thanks DosDawg for the quick help. I am up and ready to either try to upgrade to D7.02 or wait tell D7.03..  Am afraid another upgrade may break something again so will wait awhile.

And the solution was ?

It was the RMS address that had issues. Also would like to thank DosDawg and Dolphin_Jay for their time and effort in upgrading my site to D7.02, I hear it was a pain..lol Thanks guys you so rock! I tried to post in both of you guys profile but now we can only place 1 comment a week. How stupid is that?
