Crowd Finder is a social interactive search tool for your site that will allow your members to harness the power of the community to help them find stuff that they need. The item to be found could be physical item or a service.
REWARDS
Members can offer Rewards for a successful find. The reward can be monetary or anything they chose to give.
If integrated with my Points mod, the member can donate Points to those who helped them.
If integrated with my Credits mod, the member can donate Credits to those who helped them.
TIP OFFS
Persons with information on where to find the item can post tip offs with details of a location or website or some other means by which the item or service can be found.
It is possible for the search organizer to flag a tip off as being helpful.
FOUND IT
After the member has located the item, they can then flag the listing as being found. This will prevent further posting of tip offs and a message will be prominently displayed on the listing view page that it is found.
At this point the search organizer can arrange to fulfill the Reward offer with those that were helpful in location the item or service.
TESTIMONIALS
After a search organizer has found an item, the can decide to post a testimonial about the whole experience of conducting the search.
The testimonial can include a description of events that lead up them finding the item or service and also allows posting of Photos, Videos etc.
REVIEWS
Persons who have posted tip offs can post reviews about their experience with interacting with the search organizer. This will give others a general idea about what to expect if they should help this member in the future with finding another item or if the organizer was honest in fulfilling the promised reward etc.
Review can include general comments about the experience and specific pros and cons.
It is possible for persons reading a review to flag it as being helpful.
ABANDON SEARCH
A member may chose to abandon a search at any time. Instead of deleting the listing, they can simply flag it as abandoned. The item will still appear listed on the site (in the abandoned section). On the view page, a message is displayed that the search is abandoned and a reason is given.
It is possible for a member to revive an abandoned search in the future.
FEEDBACK
Members can Rate and Comment on listings.
Members can request more information about a listing.
PROMOTION AND SHARING
Members can promote (create awareness of) listings with other site members or external friends.
Allows sharing of listings on Twitter, Facebook and other popular networks.
