While working on the next set of versions we've found ourselves stuck on a few small issues. We really need your feedback to resolve those adequately.
Many of you have asked for the "must have" feature "Categories" in Ray Music and Video widgets integrated with Dolphin. It was asked for many times but there is no satisfactory answer on how it should be performed and incorporated.
So, we need your help in order to make this clear. Please leave your opinions, ideas and thoughts below in comments.
Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.

I have it into my mind as:
1. Admin side (better PHP to possible change sources): - create category/subcategory for video/audio/photos
2. User side: our ray upload SWF can able to load this categories into another one (new) combo box, after uploading - this category automatically assigned
Hope that this is right way
with the music and video, i feel the admin sets the Categories and the user is allowed to select what one from the drop down menu. and use a Default for any that forget to choose a Category or it does not fit in any on the ones listed.
i am also a little worried about the "chicks for free" missing, this was see more
Seems that only Rayz can decide how realize this
its like cars, you can not paint one car one colour and expect all other car makers not to use that colour,
you asked for ideas, i gave an example, how you write it is your own code, not rays.
you are saying no-one can use a drop down but the 1st ever person that used a drop down lol thats silly.

--> Community Members should partcipate off of those levels,actions, preset MAIN/SUB category tree while having "basic" / "media albums" / controls in the SWF.

Combine Video, Music and Pictures into one gallery…..
Add search functionality: Example (Search for Video, Music, and Pictures): Search by Genre, Artist etc…
On upload, Give User the option to add information about the file they are uploading.
Give admin the ability to upload media content to the site, whereby site members could use these media in their profile.
Give users the option to have a profile video.
How about tag info for media within the gallery…would it be see more
When you upload a file, you can choose a category in a list that the admin did throught admin.
Then you can change category by clicking on edit of course.
We add too a new menu mane category who help user to look for a media.
Website will be lauch end of week in beta, i will profide the url.
Waiting for some more.
I have now buy and installed 4 mods to do that... Including advaged profile editing and Private photo albums. If this is standard then you have a very good package!!!

Same way, as you upload your media & start entering your tags, the tag suggestions from already existing tags will start popping down. see more
- when a member is browing a profile and clicking in the submenu "Photos/Music or Video Gallery" he/she is kicking out of the profile he/she was browsing :-(
That's a real problem... The member who is browsing a profile is thinking that he/she will see the Photos/Music/Video gallery of the profile he/she is browsing.
To solve this problem is much more important than categories...

i'm waitting for this for a long time..
it need to have multi-uploader too!!!..just like facebook photo albums!!
1.members will need to create his own photo albums first to upload any photo (admin can set how many albums member can create and how many photoes in each album on admin panel.)
2.each photo can have photo "descrition", "vote" and "comments" and "total views" and "today views",member can set up what's the main cover photo of this album.
3.on admin panel can set photo width, height,suspend,edit,delete..

- Ability to preserve aspect ratio of the video files while converting and playing also..
- Can you put a checkbox in video admin area to disable converting mpg file.

Allow multi-categories insertion. For example, music could go into many categories when added.
Maybe have access control at admin end that allow registered user or public access.

Sub categories are not necessary. Instedad we should also have tags for videos and so a search option. And the search should also have the option to search with tags in a particular category.

And what about youtube videos? Please also add a feature to add youtube videos with see more

With the artist side,I think it should be set up also in a unique way,like having a chart system,the most plays a artist get in a catogory rises up to the top see more

There is 4 mod i think you can put in your next scrip upgrade:
1-browse botom in the to of the web site..this is good when you got 1000 videos need find somthing just ...write and looking for.
2-setion in admin for change random or top,last ....for video,photo,music
when is random..bring more user to see all videos....same for gallerys.music.photo.video....but this like option to..

What I think - it should be very native to user.
VIDEO:
Most of users are familiar with youtube, so why not implementing something similar for videos? However Videos are not really essential, and could be just as they are now
PHOTOS
What about flickr ? Everyone uses it , and categorization is just fine ! . And its not the matter of categories for pictures, but I would say users want creating ALBUMS!!! not just placing pictures in categories... I'm missing this feature (as well as see more
While you are at modifying the Flash script, can't you make this more general and incorporate a mini builder? Besides categories, I would also like to add in the countries list. Others may like to add in even a city field, or something else. If you think the amount of work for this is not justified, how can we add see more
how about the ability to show the artwork associated with .mp3 files? Instead of the blue musical note and just the song name in the player....

2. I agree, let's make user migration simple and fast, but allowing new users to bring their photos, videos, documents, etc. from other platforms (i.e. Flickr, Picaso, YouTube, Google)

I am able to add category for Photos it is not too difficult .Problem is to add categories for Videos ,because the form you have to fill up before you want to upload any video is FLASH form compilled to SWF and I need source file (.fla ) for file holder_free.swf to be able to add selector into the form for categories .I have checked SQL databese for video files and there is already collum with name CategoryID so it is mean that the developer probably wanted add the categories also php see more
it would be nice to have videos recorded with recorder (ray)

--The rating system should be more robust. Instead of there just being a 'star' system, specific attributes should be rateable, also.

I'd REALLY like to have different Billboard-style charts for the front page or its own page in different categories and genres, able to be placed on the front or main audio/video pages.
Ex.:
Top 10 Downloads; Top 10 Streams; Top 10 Rated; Top 10 see more
Keeping it simple would make it easier for everyone!
